new trumpet

My new trumpet is a Scherzer Piccolo Trumpet. It's different from your normal everyday trumpet cause it is half the size. This allows for easier playing in the higher register. Because of this I now can experience playing music from the baroque period. The other unique thing about this trumpet is that it is a rotary trumpet. For you car people, I now have an RX8 vs. the Mazdaspeed 6.

My trumpet collection is now as follows:

The Bb Stradavarius Model 72 with a medium large bore. This is a typical all-purpose trumpet (currently in the shop getting a new leadpipe). Translated to Car: A BMW 335i with 100k miles on it. The leadpipe has redrot and I need to get a new one, like getting a new transmission.

The C Stradavarius 239 with a Blackburn leadpipe and interchangeable bells. This trumpet is used mostly for the orchestra. A BMW M5. It's interchangeable bells is like on the M3 where you can change from normal driving mode to sports mode. The Blackburn leadpipe is a 3rd party mod...like having a Porsche clutch.

The Scherzer piccolo trumpet. An RX8 with a more reliable engine. Definitely smaller than the two BMWs I have. It is made for soloing and baroque music. Made for the track. High Performance and specialized. Has very little gas mileage.
